If he's really staying out of the Syrian conflict. Pres. Obama is doing the right thing. Not one American needs to die there. But where he goes wrong is in not taking a stand against Islam as an official ideology for the Middle East, and standing 100% with Israel against them all. Instead he plays Muslim appeaser with Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Taliban, al-Qaida et al. while playing footsy with the Israelis, scaring them half to death. Yes, for decades every president has been in the pocket of the Saudis, but their devil's bargain was that the royals had to sell out their own peoples' fundamentalist faith, which they have done nicely, look at them ho it up in Las Vegas on weekends. Maybe we can achieve energy independence and finally cut them loose too, demanding that they abolish Sharia just to talk to them. But what's needed most is beyond Obama's control, namely, a Great Apostasy of the Muslim World, like the goon guards in The Wizard of Oz after the Wicked Witch of the West melted. For that we all need to work together to reach the Muslim World via the Internet and hope for the magic moment. To speed things up, just one good nuke on Mecca by the U.S., Russia, France, China, anybody might break the spell, "I'm melllllting. Ding dong the witch is dead." After it happens, the masses of ex-Muslims will drop Muhammad's jihad and Jew hatred and finally ask Israel for help in rejoining the human race and redrawing the lines in the Middle East in a permanent peaceful way, making it a credit to the world instead of an eyesore. Even after dropping Islam, Arabs don't have to give up being Arabs, some of them have real cool headgear and robes that would look great at a rock concert. As for Israel, anybody can see that whatever it means to be Jewish, it should be a nationality, and a Greater Jewish State of Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates is the linchpin of any permanent peace in the Middle East, sans any fake Muslim State of Palestine, notwithstanding the boobery of Kerry and Obama.
