Sorry, this approach is doomed, like with many proud nations throughout history that Islam infiltrated and absorbed, destroying all their freedoms. Islam is about destroying freedom, the very word means submit to Muhammad and his Allah, which no large nation has ever done without being conquered militarily first, which is why Islam is really a conquerors' ideology hiding behind a religion. Yes, there are millions of Muslims in the U.S. now? And why? Because we let them immigrate. What was the result? They failed to assimilate or change, instead creating "stans" like in Dearborn and playing wolf in sheep's clothing to avoid deportation until they get enough political power to take the sheepskin off and demand Muslim superiority and Sharia along with subversion of the Constitution and alliance with foreign nations. Muslims outnumber Americans worldwide by five to one, they don't need to immigrate, they need to change Islam itself first then we'll talk. Sorry, Diane, we can't just love them to pieces and expect "reconciliation", history showsthat Islam isn't about equality it's about superiority and domination of the land and society. And while it would be nice if a Muslim MLK or Gandhi would appear who could change Islam, he would have to make them chuck Muhammad and half the Quran, after which they wouldn't be Muslims be just more infidels as far as Islam is concerned.
