The American Founding Fathers enjoyed geographical isolation from the Muslim world, and had little knowledge or understanding of Islam, with Thomas Jefferson famously going out in front and reading an English translation of the Koran, realizing how horrible its hatred and disdain of infidels was, and ordering war against the Barbary Pirates who had been demanding jizya by all American vessels without telling them what it was. It was little appreciated how Islam is a political as well as religious ideology, but Jefferson's wall of separation of church and state was certainly intended to include mosque and state, despite the Quran demanding their union. Hence, as long as Muslims lived in the U.S. only in tiny numbers and had no power base, things were peachy, but the folly of using Ted Kennedy's 1965 immigration act to permit mass Muslim immigration is already resulting in Muslim demands for superiority and Sharia where their numbers permit, such as Detroit, and now we're ordered to tolerate the GZ Mosque as their alternative to the Statue of Liberty. So how much can Americans TOLERATE, that's the real question. The gates must be closed now, no matter how much political fighting with misguided liberals and progressive has to be done to do it. Only people who arrive with the intention of assimilating as equals under the U.S. Constitution should be welcome, not those who want to change us and worse, make us submit to their superiority and abolish it.
