So-called radical or political supremacy Islam is really the true Islam, the one and only Islam of Muhammad and the Quran, which launched living hell on the world back in the 7th cent., and might have gone through schisms and been modified by some branches over the centuries, but can't change the wording of the Quran or the example set by its founder. Through most of the 20th cent. the hope was that the superiority of the West in Science & Technology would lure Muslims away from Islam, and it partially worked, but too bad the decline in Western morals combined with the power of the Internet to touch every Muslim in their home is causing a reactionary return to the good old days when Islam had a caliph and fought the West daily and often won.
