We should never have invaded Iraq. At the most we could have Shocked and Awed it with our air force, but never sent boots on the ground into that medieval hellhole. After making Mistake 1 by invading, we had no good move, and of course it was Mistake 2 to leave without working to create a mass apostasy from Islam, instead squandering trillions trying to make them into a "democracy" that still worships Muhammad as Allah's prophet. Why make Mistake 3 of invading again? In the age of drones we don't need to, do we? Until the U.S. crystallizes around the proposition that the ideology of Islam must go, it really must go, and works to create the Great Muslim Apostasy, we're better off letting the Muslim World burn. Even if Iran takes it over, who cares? If the U.S. doesn't stop them from getting nukes, Iran will. Let the whole hate-filled ever-warring mess burn until they're ready to apostasize and rejoin the human race, asking Israel for aid.
