Sorry, but as long as the Islamic Republic of Iran enacts horrible Sharia, there can be no democracy there, even with the Green Movement. Yes, there is a significant minority with good Western-style educations to build on, but they would be the ones to support an American occupation of Iran to force a regime change all the way from Sharia to secular democratic republic, and all presidents Republican and Democratic should be willing to do what's necessary there or else risk losing not only all that's been spent forcing a regime change in Iraq, but facing WWIII after Iran secretly builds nukes and hands them to Hezbollah for attacks on Israel.

Study Islam's history free with the Historyscoper and see why since day one Islam has been a total political and religious system that proclaims superiority for Muslims over non-Muslims and men over women, with death as the punishment for disobedience, and as such is totally incompatible with any concept of Western-style democracy. Islam must go, it really must go, whatever it takes, for our grandkids to be safe. How short of genocide can the numbers of Muslims be reduced from 1.x billion to a manageable x million sans genocide? By taking the children from the parents and bringing them up without seeing a Quran or mosque, then releasing them at age 18-21 and letting them choose which religion to follow, if any.
