The Jews ran Jerusalem back in 1000 B.C. as a sovereign nation, after which they have been ruthlessly extirpated by one invader after another, including the Assyrians, Babylonians, Romans, Arabs, and Turks, only to return with U.N. and U.S. backing. Outnumbered and surrounded, and squatting on only a fraction of their ancestral territory, they have tried everything to live peacefully with their hate-filled Muslim enemies, who are bent on portraying them as the bad guys, when ironically if they were they'd ruthlessly extirpate them from the rest of the territory, shouting "Yahu Akbar" or something :). The only way there will be peace in the Middle East is for the Muslims to leave permanently or give up Islam, whose Quran commands them to never give up one square inch of any territory conquered for Allah, ever, with the promise of paradise for martyrdom while fighting to keep or regain it, the ultimate sucker bet.
